In Balat district of Istanbul, two adjacent historical buildings were restored by the Turkish Union to be served as a cultural house as beneficiary to the region. The venue is to be used for 29 years.
Students learn foreign language and they are assisted with their lessons. Vocational training is provided for the women living in the surrounding area. There is a cafe where Soroptimists and visitors have pleasant times. Also cultural activities such as seminars, interviews, painting and photography exhibitions and meetings are organized.
